How kitting works

How kitting at Honeybee actually works.

Components in. Test build. Photo sign-off. Assembly wave. Out the door together. No surprises.

  • Components in. Send us your products, packaging, inserts, and any custom collateral. We receive, count, photograph, and rack by SKU.
  • Bill of materials. Your account manager builds a kit BOM with you. Every component, every quantity, every placement note (this insert goes on top, ribbon goes around the box, etc).
  • Test build. We assemble a sample kit and send you photos for sign-off before the full campaign runs. No surprises on packout day.
  • Assembly wave. The team builds the campaign against your ship date, small drops same-day, large drops over a coordinated 2–5 day wave.
  • Ship & track. Whole campaign ships together. You get a per-shipment manifest and photo proof of the build.

What kinds of kits and bundles do you assemble?

Subscription boxes (monthly, quarterly, one-shot), gift sets, multi-SKU kits, holiday and seasonal bundles, PR / influencer drop boxes, retail-ready bundles, and Amazon multi-pack ASIN assembly. If it's hand-assembled and brand-finished, we do it.

Can you handle a subscription box launch?

Yes. We've helped brands run quarterly subscription drops from 300 to 10,000+ units. We hold the components on-site, assemble against your ship date, apply your inserts and packaging, and ship the whole campaign in one coordinated wave.

Do you charge per kit assembled?

Yes. Kits are quoted as a bundled assembly fee (not per sticker, per insert, per component). You'll see one clear per-unit assembly rate based on SKU count, complexity, and volume. No nickel-and-dime line items.

How far in advance should I send components?

For routine restock kits, 7–10 business days before assembly. For subscription drops and campaign launches, 2–3 weeks of lead time gives us room to receive components, validate counts, and stage the build. Rush builds are possible. Message your account manager.

Can you do kit assembly with my branded packaging?

Yes. That's the default. Send us your mailers, tissue, ribbon, inserts, stickers, and we apply them to every kit. We don't design packaging ourselves, but we honor and apply what you've produced. See our branded packaging page for the full story.

Can a kit be sold as an Amazon FBA multi-pack?

Yes. We assemble multi-SKU bundles as a single sellable unit, apply the FNSKU and "sold as set" stickers, polybag if required, and palletize for FBA inbound. See our Amazon FBA prep page for the full prep spec.
