Honeybee basics

What is Honeybee Fulfillment?

Honeybee Fulfillment is a Shopify-native 3PL for growing DTC brands, based in Plano (Dallas–Fort Worth), Texas. We handle on-time, accurate pick, pack, and ship for Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, and TikTok Shop, applying your branded packaging on every order for the unboxing your customers remember. Every account gets a dedicated, named account manager on Slack and WhatsApp, sending you daily shipping photos. We also offer Amazon FBA prep at $1 per unit.

Do you offer D2C (direct-to-consumer) fulfillment?

Yes. DTC is what we're built for. Honeybee is a Shopify-native 3PL first, and we're an omnichannel fulfillment center, so we can process orders for virtually any platform you're selling on: Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, TikTok Shop, eBay, and Walmart Marketplace. Orders sync into our system automatically the moment they sell. We pick, pack, apply your branded packaging, and ship, same-day when they land before 10:30 AM CT. Amazon FBA prep is a sideline; your own storefront is the main event.

Do you handle Amazon FBA prep too?

Yes. Our focus is Shopify DTC fulfillment, and we also handle Amazon FBA prep for brands selling on both. That covers FNSKU labeling, polybagging, bubble wrapping, bundling, expiration date verification, set stickers, suffocation warnings, case packing, and palletized shipments directly to Amazon fulfillment centers. Most inbound is prepped and out the door within 24 to 48 hours of receipt.

Do you integrate with my store and Amazon?

Yes. We integrate directly with Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, TikTok Shop, Amazon Seller Central, eBay, and Walmart Marketplace. Orders sync into our system automatically and ship same-day when received before 10:30 AM CT.

Getting started & who does what

How do I get started?

Three steps. First, apply for an account through the quote form. We're accepting new clients right now. Next, ship us your inventory and log the inbound in your WMS dashboard so we know exactly what's arriving. From there we receive, prep, and ship it, same-day or the next business day, while you watch the whole thing in real time.

What are my responsibilities as the client?

We keep your side short. Before your inventory reaches our Plano warehouse, you handle three things:

  • Create the inbound in your WMS dashboard before the stock arrives, so we know what's coming and how to receive it. We can't process what we weren't told to expect.
  • Have your products listed and live on the channel they're selling on, for FBA, the ASINs need to be active in Seller Central before the units land, so nothing waits on a listing.
  • Give clear shipping instructions and keep your Amazon Seller Central account in good standing so we can create and send FBA shipments without delay.

Prep materials and outbound shipping are billed at cost (see below). Handle those, and we handle everything else.

I sell on Amazon through FBA. Do you need access to my Seller Central account?

Yes, but it's a quick, limited connection. Not a user seat. Instead of adding us as a user, you authorize our fulfillment app on your Seller Central account. That grants the inventory and FBA-shipment access we need to build and send your shipments through an Amazon Partnered Carrier. Nothing touching your payouts or banking. During onboarding your account manager sends you the authorization link and walks you through it; it takes about two minutes, and you can revoke the app anytime from your Seller Central settings.

What we can & can't ship

What items are prohibited?

We run an ambient-temperature warehouse built for standard DTC and FBA goods, so a handful of categories we can't take:

  • Anything requiring refrigeration or freezing
  • Heat-sensitive / meltable items. Chocolate, gummies, some cosmetics, during the warm months
  • Used or opened products
  • Hazardous materials, firearms and ammunition
  • Self-defense sprays (pepper spray, mace)
  • Fertilizers, soils, and other regulated chemicals

Everything you send also has to be lawfully obtained and compliant with applicable law. Not sure whether your product qualifies? Ask your account manager before you ship. We'd rather sort it out up front than turn a pallet away at the dock.

What items do you accept only on approval?

Plenty of things we can handle. We just want a heads-up first so we can prep them the right way and quote any special handling. Contact us before shipping:

  • FBA removals coming back from Amazon
  • Fragile goods. Ceramic, glass, tile, delicate plastics
  • Oversized or heavy items
  • Specialty products that need extra work (cutting, sticker or label removal, de-kitting, rework)

Message your account manager before these ship and we'll confirm and scope them.

Timing, processing & tracking

How fast do orders ship?

Orders received before 10:30 AM CT ship the same business day. Orders received after 10:30 AM ship the next business day. FBA inbound is typically prepped and shipped to Amazon within 24 to 48 hours of receipt. Need a rush on something outside those windows? Message your account manager and we'll prioritize it.

What can slow down my processing time?

We turn standard orders same-day by 10:30 AM CT and FBA pallets in 24–48 hours. A few things on the account side are the usual holdups:

  • No inbound logged in the WMS. We can't receive what we weren't told to expect. Create the inbound before your stock arrives.
  • Listings or app authorization not ready. ASINs that aren't live before inventory lands, or our fulfillment app not yet authorized on your Seller Central account, stall FBA shipment creation.
  • Unclear instructions on how something should be packed, bundled, or shipped.

Getting those right up front is the fastest path. And you don't need to chase us for status. Your account manager sends daily shipping photos and the WMS shows live status, so repeated check-ins actually slow the floor down rather than speed it up.

Which shipments take longer to turn around?

Freight (anything delivered or picked up by semi or in a cargo container), oversized items, and fragile goods (glass, ceramic, and the like) take more hands and more care, so they run longer than a standard parcel. As do large FBA removals and heavy rework jobs. Send those over and your account manager will give you an estimated ship date up front.

How do I check the status of my inventory and orders?

Two ways, both real-time. Your WMS dashboard shows live inventory levels and the prep and shipping status of every order and inbound, plus a line-item receiving report on everything that lands. And every evening your account manager sends a photo of the day's outbound over Slack or WhatsApp, so you never have to guess whether it shipped. Once an order's out the door, track it the usual way. The carrier tracking number in your dashboard works on UPS, FedEx, USPS, or any search engine.

Pricing, shipping costs & storage

How much does it cost?

Our published rates: Shopify & DTC order fulfillment (pick, pack, ship) is $2 / order. Amazon FBA prep is $1 / unit. Setup fee is $0. No minimums for FBA. Transparent, scalable pricing with no surprise fees and no hidden volume tiers. The full sheet lives on our pricing page.

Do you have different pricing tiers or plans?

No tiers, no plans to decode. One published rate sheet: $2 per order for DTC pick-pack-ship, $1 per unit for FBA prep, $0 setup. Storage and oversized handling are quoted up front at standard market rates. No hidden volume tiers, no surprise peak surcharges, and no fixed-term contract. Accounts run month-to-month, so you can leave with 30 days' notice. Most 3PLs hide their pricing behind a sales call; ours is on the page.

Am I responsible for shipping costs?

Yes. Outbound shipping is always the client's cost, passed through at carrier rate with no markup. For FBA shipments we use an Amazon Partnered Carrier (UPS) and those fees are billed straight to your Seller Central account. For DTC, B2B, or FBM orders you can either hand us your own carrier labels (usually your cheapest option) or we'll buy the labels for you at carrier cost. Prep materials are handled the same way, at cost, itemized on your biweekly invoice.

Is there a storage fee?

Yes, but there's no gotcha. Storage is quoted up front at standard market rates, per pallet, per shelf, or per bin, based on your SKU mix, and a slow-moving SKU is charged the same rate as a fast one, never a punitive long-term multiplier. We're a fulfillment center, not a self-storage unit, so send us what you plan to sell, not what you plan to park. If inventory sits untouched and we can't reach you for 30 days about what to do with it, the abandonment terms in your agreement kick in, so keep us posted on slow movers.

Is there a minimum order volume?

For Amazon FBA prep there are no minimums, so you can start at any volume. For DTC ecommerce fulfillment (Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, etc.), our floor is 300 orders a month. That's well below most major 3PLs, and it's on purpose: we work with serious, growing brands, not just enterprise volume. The top of our roster ships tens of thousands of units a week.

What carriers do you ship with?

We run a daily scheduled UPS pickup, and also ship parcels with FedEx, USPS, DHL, and regional carriers. For pallet and LTL shipments, we work with Amazon Partnered Carriers and major LTL freight providers. Want a specific carrier we don't run daily? We can arrange it, usually at a small added cost.

The Honeybee difference

Do you use my custom branded packaging?

Yes. Send us the mailers, tissue, ribbon, inserts, and stickers your brand has produced. We store them on-site and apply them on every single order.

Do I get a dedicated account manager?

Yes. Every brand gets a dedicated account manager. We chat on Slack or WhatsApp, or email if you prefer.
